A Reading List for Missions seeks to share titles for inspiration and information. This list is divided into helpful categories and will periodically be updated; we invite you to check back from time to time. Each book has spiritual and/or practical benefits but may contain some views and/or beliefs that are not necessarily our own.
It has been repeated over and again, “You are what you read.” The reading of good profitable books is a high priority. William Carey, Hudson Taylor, Jim Elliot, and others have testified of the great influence and value of reading the Diaries of David Brainerd. Let us also read of Brainerd pouring out his heart for the Delaware Indians in the snow and cold of New England. Let us read and know the testimonies of the Judsons, the Taylors, the Binghams, and the Saints. Let us meditate upon the countless battles waged around this world to bring the Gospel to those in darkness.
May the Holy Spirit bring revival of missionary reading so that He may bring revival of missions!
